This Privacy Policy explains what information The Hook Line Stitcher (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects when you visit hooklinestitcher.com, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain English rather than legal fog.

8. How long we keep information
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that follow-up replies stay readable in context. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up. Server logs and aggregate analytics are retained for a limited period and then discarded or anonymised.
9. Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. Information is shared only with the service providers required to run the site — our web host, our security provider, and our analytics tool — and only to the extent needed to provide those services. We may also disclose information if legally required to do so.

This site is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Links to other sites
We link to other websites — yarn shops, designers, reference material. Following a link takes you outside this site, and we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any other website. We’d encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site grows or as the law changes. When we do, the “last updated” date at the top will change. Significant changes will be noted clearly on this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
